Bagless vacuums

The maintenance required for bagless vacuums is nearly the same as the maintenance required for those vacuums that have bags.

All bagless vacuum cleaners require the same level of maintenance as the vacuum cleaners that include bags, except for the changing of the bag. The bagless models must be emptied when the dirt in the container reaches the fill line.

Likewise, bagless vacuums feature filters that must be cleaned or replaced at regular intervals. Because the type and size of filter varies for each vacuum, it is necessary to check the owner’s manual to find out which filters fit your bagless vacuums.

In general, the main thing those who own bagged vacuums need to do is simply change the bag when it becomes full. Many vacuum cleaners feature a button that will light up when the vacuum cleaner bag becomes too full and needs to be emptied or changed. Those who prefer to not have to deal with changing bags will often opt to purchase bagless vacuums.
