Upright vacuums
When choosing between upright vacuums, there may be certain
features that the consumer knows he or she wants to find. However, if
there are several vacuums that all include these main features, the
buyer may not know how to make a final decision.
Perhaps some of these other aspects should be considered:
• Extension hoses – If a consumer is able to narrow down
the choices to about five different types of upright vacuums that all
seem to mechanically operate the same way, then the kinds of extension
hoses that are included with the purchase might be something that should
be explored.
For example, if a person wants a vacuum that will be able to clean
the floor, but also clean ceiling fans and curtains, then it may be
important to look for upright vacuums that include lengthy extension
hoses so that all items that need to be cleaned can be easily reached.
• Warranty – If the price and the features of one or more
upright vacuums are very similar, it may be wise for the consumer to
consider the warranty that is offered with the vacuum. Most manufacturers
will offer one-year warranties; however it is certainly possible to
find warranties that last up to two years.
A few companies that sell more expensive and sophisticated upright
vacuums will even offer five-year warranties. When comparing warranties,
it is also a good idea to see if the warranties include both parts and
labor.
